Nathan R. Russell, Managing Attorney and Owner

Nathan Russell is the founder and owner of Russell Law Offices, SC. Born and raised on his family’s fifth generation dairy and crop farm in Shullsburg, he returned to Southwest Wisconsin to practice law in 2009.

Nathan earned a degree in agricultural economics and his juris doctorate from UW-Madison. Prior to opening Russell Law Offices, Nathan taught agricultural education in Minnesota and served as an agriculture and commercial lender in Madison.

Nathan is married to Jennifer, whom he met through the FFA. Jennifer is the agricultural education and FFA instructor in Shullsburg. They have six children: Reagan, Madison, Taylor, McKinley, Lincoln, and Jackson.

Outside the office, Nathan is an avid sports fan supporting the Packers, Badgers, Bucks, Brewers, and Miners/Knights. He is heavily involved in his children’s activities including assisting them show sheep across the country. Nathan is also very proud to be starting his 12th year serving as the girls basketball head coach for Shullsburg.

Nathan has presented to a variety of community and professional groups on numerous legal topics. He has been active in the Lafayette County community by previously serving on the Shullsburg Fund Board & Memorial Hospital Foundation and currently serving on the Shullsburg School Board.

Morgan L. Sauder, Senior Associate (Se Habla Español)

Morgan Sauder is an enthusiastic attorney committed to helping her clients reach their legal goals. With an emphasis on providing strong Criminal and Traffic Defense, Morgan is ready to help you understand your courtroom experience and will work hard to meet your goals.

Morgan received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from UW-Platteville. She then worked as a Spanish medical interpreter for two years prior to attending Northern Illinois University College of Law. She has been practicing law since 2014. Morgan knows the local courts, procedures, and members of the legal community and will use her experience to guide you through the legal process.

Southwest Wisconsin is home for Morgan. She is a graduate of Argyle High School, and UW-Platteville, and a former Green County Dairy Princess. You may recognize her family’s Redbird Pride, as evidenced by the carved Redbird that has stood proudly in her grandmother’s yard on Main Street since 1994.

Outside the office, Morgan loves spending time at local state parks, especially Yellowstone Lake State Park. She has three beagles and she enjoys taking them on hikes and kayaking.

Jane Bucher, Senior Associate

Jane Bucher has extensive legal experience and is active in both the legal profession and the broader community. She has tried criminal, civil and juvenile cases, both to courts and juries.

Jane served as an Assistant State Public Defender from 2011 to 2021 and has handled more than 2,400 cases. As a public defender, she represented children, juveniles, and adults who could not otherwise afford an attorney in both criminal and civil cases including CHIPS cases, termination of parental rights, mental health commitments, protective placement cases.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin law school (2010). Attorney Bucher’s diverse legal training included internships at the Restorative Justice/Family Law Project in Madison; in the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office; and at the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Attorney Bucher helped lead the creation and funding of the Green County Drug court in 2017. She has also been active in working to improving children’s courts by serving on the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board Chapter 48 Subcommittee and the Youth Justice Statewide Assessment Implementation Policy and Document Development Subcommittee. Attorney Bucher is a graduate (2019) of the Juvenile Training Immersion Program Summer Academy at Georgetown Law in Washington D.C.

Attorney Bucher was appointed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court to the Office of Lawyer Regulation District 12 Committee (2015-present) and was elected to serve on the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors, representing District 12. Attorney Bucher previously served as the President of the Green County Bar Association (2015).

Active in the broader community, she is a founding member of the Green County MultiCultural Outreach Program (MCOP), which brings people together to build bridges between community members from diverse backgrounds. She currently serves on the board of Green County Family Promise and she previously volunteered for Green County Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2018-2021. Attorney Bucher was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal (2006-2008). She lives in Monroe with her husband, Ruedi, a cheesemaker born in Switzerland, and sons, Quinn and Xavier.


Alex Levy, Associate Attorney

Alex Levy is an associate attorney in Russell Law Offices’ Darlington office.

Alex’s practice focuses on commercial, municipal, and real estate litigation, as well as contract review and negotiation for businesses.

Prior to joining the team at Russell Law Offices, Alex worked in-house at a real estate company. During Alex’s time in law school, he participated in the Neighborhood Law Clinic, litigating landlord-tenant and employment disputes.

In his free time, Alex enjoys playing soccer, listening to audiobooks, and spending time with friends and family. Alex also values involvement in the community – he is a board member of a homeowners association and a guest lecturer at UW-Madison.

Peter Konz, Associate Attorney

Peter is a proud Wisconsinite and is happy serving the people of Southwest Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and his juris doctorate from UW-Madison. While in law school, Peter furthered his legal career assisting clients in their criminal appeals in UW’s Criminal Appeals Project and student clerking in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Professionally, he has experience in contract, probate, real estate, and municipal law.

Prior to his legal career, Peter achieved All-American status and Big Ten academic and athletic honors playing for the Wisconsin Badger football team. Upon graduation, Peter was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons where he played for four years.

Peter now enjoys family life. He and his wife, Erin, have two kids named Owen and Caroline. When he can, Peter enjoys fishing, pheasant hunting, skiing, and taking vacations with his family.

Mike Schulz, Associate Attorney

Mike Schulz is an associate attorney in the Cuba City office. Mike’s practice focuses on family law, estate planning, employment law, and consumer protection.

While attending law school, Mike was part of the Consumer Law Clinic helping clients with a range of consumer protection issues.

Mike was also a part of the Prosecution Project in Waukesha County where he represented the State in criminal matters. Most recently, he interned under Justice Karofsky with the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Prior to attending law school, Mike earned a degree in history at UW Milwaukee. After graduation he worked for Alliance for the Great Lakes out of their Milwaukee office doing community outreach, organizing beach clean ups, and educating Milwaukee area students about the Great Lakes.

Mike lives in the area with his fiancé, Abby, who is a kindergarten teacher. Together they have two rescue cats, Cleo and Tut. Outside the office, Mike is an avid Bucks fan. He also enjoys playing disc golf, hiking in the mountains, and playing chess.
